Connie McNulty honored as Library Volunteers Connie McNulty - For over eight years Connie McNulty has volunteered many hours in the Children's Department of the Flagler County Public Library. Connie's many responsibilities at the library include staffing the Information Desk, helping patrols find books and information, assisting with all aspects of the children's library, creating promotional posters, shelving returned materials, and serving as a group leader for one of the library's "Girl's Only" book clubs. Theresa Owen states; "Connie is a dedicated volunteer who is always willing to help in any capacity. She is the first person that comes to mind \when the children's department is in need. Connie was instrumental in establishing the library popular book discussion clubs for children ages 8-10. She often brings in personal artifacts that compliments each month's read and has been known to bake treats for "her girls." Patricia Ryan - Patricia Ryans works at the Reference Desk, helping patrons, answering questions on a variety of topics, explaining computer applications and assisting with print outs. Pat is Vice President for the Friends of the Library. She maintains the FOL membership database, chairs the monthly Membership Committee meetings and sends email notification to members. She also works hard on the membership drives and organizes the Wine and Cheese reception that culminates the drive. Pat also volunteers at the FOL quarterly book sales and faithfully attends all of the adult programs. Terry Jones, President of the FOL says she selected Pat for several reasons. "First because of the amount of time she devotes to the Library and Friends of the Library. Second, she will take initiative where and when needed. Pat is organized, reliable, dependable, communicates well to keep me and the Friends of the Executive Board updated on membership activities."
